The Varador 2000 shipyard has just carried out at its technical facilities in Arenys de Mar (Barcelona) the transformation of the stern of a Bennetti MY to straighten its trim so that the boat gains speed with less fuel consumption. To achieve this, the stern of the ship has been lengthened by 70 centimeters. This operation has involved the realization of a complex engineering project coordinated by Varador 2000, which includes the calculation of structures and the cutting plane of the modular structure, as well as complementary high-precision welding and hydraulic and electrical work.
The stern lengthening operation has also been used to install a transformer on the bathing platform, ostensibly improving the comfort and fixation of the auxiliary boat. In this ambitious transformation project, various workshops and specialist companies that usually operate in its technical area have collaborated with Varador 2000, such as Naos-BCN, Reina Inox, Luxwood Fusteria Naval and Diplonautic.
