The nautical base for superyachts in Mataró also holds the
European environmental quality certificate EMAS
Varador 2000’s repair and refit technical base for yachts in Arenys de Mar and the nautical base for superyachts Mataró Marina Barcelona managed by the company on the west wharf of the port of Mataró, have renewed their ISO 9001 quality management system, ISO 14001 environmental management and OHSAS 18001 occupational health (health and safety management in the workplace) certificates.
The company SGS –world leader in inspection, verification, analysis and certification of companies and systems, and the international benchmark in quality and integrity –, has certified once again that the Varador 2000 facilities in Arenys de Mar strictly comply with the most stringent requirements in these areas. The ISO 9001, the first to be implanted, has been renewed for the seventh year running, and the other two for the sixth year consecutively. The facilities in Mataró have held these certificates for four years.
This validation verifies the reliability of all the industrial processes performed by the team at Varador 2000, which has a technical esplanade of 10,000 square metres (currently being extended) located at the mouth of the port of Arenys de Mar. Here the company offers its customers the following homologated features with the SGS quality distinctions: 200 tonne travelift; 10 tonne crane; 35 metre painting booth; antifouling painting; osmosis treatment; high gloss hull and deck painting; official mechanic services; carpentry and woodwork workshops, electricity, electronics and hydraulics; interior and exterior upholstery, rigging, lamination and winter mooring services.
Mataró Marina Barcelona, the base for superyachts managed by Varador 2000, also holds the European environmental quality certificate EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), the most stringent standard in environmental management systems in the European Union. The marina has berths for around thirty 20 to 50 metre yachts in uniquely private and exclusive conditions. Services offered by the marina include water and energy supply, bunkering and concierge, free parking and Wi-Fi, solid and water waste collection etc. Marina users can also enjoy the Sirius Club, its sports and barbeque zone and training area.
In addition to guaranteeing the quality of all these processes, the homologation certified by SGS also enables Varador 2000 to publicize these certificates in its facilities, advertising, logos, website, social media, stationery and catalogues and other elements used to promote the company’s activities.
